The Assembly Hall Theatre in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, has expanded its spring calendar by adding two new family shows. The bookings boost the venue’s family programme and offer more entertainment options for young children in West Kent.
The first event is a musical concert called The Princess Proms, which will take place on Sunday 15 March 2026. The show is presented by Enchanted Voices and features singers performing hits drawn from movies and musicals such as Frozen, Moana and Wicked. Enchanted Voices markets the concert as an all-ages, high-energy, participatory musical experience; the company’s website also carries a disclaimer that it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the owners of the listed titles.
Starting on Tuesday 17 March and running until Wednesday 18 March 2026, the theatre will host a puppetry production of Tales From Acorn Wood. The show is a stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s lift-the-flap Acorn Wood books and is produced by Norwell Lapley Productions (NLP). The production promises live performances, songs and puppetry that bring the storybook characters to life.
Listings for the shows appear on national touring and listings sites; Musicals On Tour and the venue’s own What’s On schedule both list the Tunbridge Wells dates for these productions.
Theatre management says the Assembly Hall, a receiving theatre that seats roughly 1,000, regularly programmes family shows to serve the local community and broaden its spring offerings. Tickets for both productions are available now via the venue box office and the theatre’s online booking service.
