The Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club is inviting local families to an end-of-season celebration on Saturday 18 April 2026 at The Nevill Ground in Royal Tunbridge Wells. The event will feature a range of activities, including a barbecue, an Easter egg hunt, informal games, and a bouncy castle for attendees to enjoy.

In addition to the celebration, the club is hosting holiday activity courses for children aged 5 to 13 throughout the spring break. Organised in partnership with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, the sessions are designed to provide an affordable option for parents, costing £15 per day. The activities run from 9:00am to 12:00pm and focus on keeping children active and social during their time off school.

The Nevill Ground, which is owned by the local council and also used by the Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club, has served as the home for the hockey club since it was founded in 1898. The club has grown significantly over the years and now manages more than 25 junior teams, earning the ClubMark Accreditation from England Hockey in recognition of its commitment to youth development.

The club has recently gained wider recognition for both its competitive success and community outreach. The men’s first team achieved a historic promotion to the England Hockey League following a dominant 2023-2024 season. Meanwhile, the club’s disability programme, known as TW Flyerz, was recently honoured with a BBC Radio Kent Make a Difference Award 2025 in the Active category for its inclusive approach to the sport.
