Residents in Slough should prepare for challenging weather conditions on Wednesday 15 April 2026, as the Met Office has forecast a day of heavy rain and strong winds moving into the area.

The morning commute may be particularly difficult due to very poor visibility, which is expected to drop to as low as 260 metres between 5am and 8am. High humidity levels, reaching 99 per cent during those early hours, will accompany the mist and reduced visibility.

As the day progresses, a band of heavy rain will move from west to east across the region, with the chance of precipitation peaking at 90 per cent during the mid-afternoon between 3pm and 4pm. Strong winds are also set to affect the area, with gusts reaching up to 30mph at 2pm and 3pm.

Temperatures will see a maximum of 17°C during the day, before dropping to a low of 9°C overnight. Weather conditions are expected to improve by Thursday, with a drier and more settled end to the week forecast, including sunny intervals and temperatures reaching 18°C by Friday.
