Free weekly exercise and movement sessions for mothers and their babies under one year old are returning to Chalvey, Berkshire, on Monday 23 March 2026. The classes are held during school term times at the Chalvey Grove Children’s Centre and Family Hub to help new parents stay active.
The sessions are designed to provide gentle physical movement and mental health support for local residents in a friendly environment. This Slough Borough Council programme is part of a wider effort to give children a healthy start in life while supporting the wellbeing of new parents.
Organisers from the mental health charity Sport in Mind often help deliver these movement classes. The activities take place at the centre located within the grounds of Montem Academy school on Chalvey Grove.
Parents who want to attend must sign up in advance because the sessions are popular with local families. The programme specifically focuses on mums with infants who are not yet one year old to ensure the support is right for their stage of life.
