A Slough man has been jailed for one year and three months after officers found heroin and crack cocaine hidden in a vehicle he was travelling in. Raja Khan, 40, of Wellesley Road, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on 2 July 2026, Thames Valley Police confirmed.

Khan was stopped by officers while travelling through the town on 12 March. A search of the vehicle uncovered multiple wraps of the class A drugs stashed inside the trim. Further items were later recovered from his home address. He was convicted of possessing both heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply. PC Josh Bennet, from the Slough proactive team, said the stop allowed officers to quickly identify suspicious behaviour and take a significant quantity of harmful drugs off the streets.

The conviction follows a string of similar drug supply cases concluded in the town this year. In April, Ayman Khan received a six-and-a-half-year sentence after police seized over £60,000 worth of drugs, and Dalbir Tak was jailed for two years and three months for possession with intent to supply drugs valued at around £2,590. Thames Valley Police launched a dedicated Roads Policing Unit Tasking Team in early 2026 to strengthen local operations targeting criminality.

The force has encouraged anyone with information about drug dealing in Slough to report it to Thames Valley Police.
