Portswood residents can speak directly with their local policing team at a Beat Surgery on Monday 20 July 2026. Hampshire Constabulary’s Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at The Broadway on Portswood Road from 11:00, offering a chance to raise concerns and hear what officers are doing about issues that matter locally.
PCSO Hannah Davis, who circulated details of the event, said everyone is welcome. The session requires no booking and forms part of routine engagement by the Portswood Neighbourhood Policing Team, which is led locally by PC Adam O’Neill. Residents can ask about anything from anti‑social behaviour and shoplifting to bike theft and doorstep safety.
The venue, Unit 5–6 in the Portswood Centre at 136 Portswood Road, is also a designated Safe Place for vulnerable people. Similar surgeries have been held elsewhere in the area, including at the Sainsbury’s supermarket on Portswood Road. The team regularly surveys residents to pinpoint priorities, and concerns around shoplifting and anti‑social behaviour consistently top the list.
