Organisers have confirmed that Southampton Pride will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, 2026. The milestone event in Southampton, Hampshire, marks a decade since the movement was revitalised and will feature an expanded two-day festival for the local community.

Since it began in 2016, the celebration has grown from a gathering of 5,000 people to a city-wide event that now attracts up to 20,000 attendees over the August bank holiday. According to Southampton Pride, the volunteer-led charity is announcing the dates early to help residents, volunteers, and local businesses prepare for the anniversary.

The 2026 festival will be held in its usual home at Guildhall Square, which is often called Pride Square for the weekend, and the O2 Guildhall. The weekend will include a high-visibility parade through the city centre, live music on the main stage, and a large community market hall.

The event remains entirely run by volunteers and receives support from several local organisations, including Cunard and P&O Cruises and the University of Southampton. Organisers are now looking for people to sign up for community stalls and volunteer roles to help manage the two-day schedule.
