Families in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, can start their Easter break with a superhero encounter at the Breakfast With Spidey event on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The morning session is designed to bring local residents together at a community venue during the first week of the school holidays.
The event takes place at Grumpy’s Diner on Southchurch Road from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. For £17 per child, young visitors will receive a breakfast meal of American-style pancakes or a traditional kids’ breakfast, while adults are allowed entry for free.
Children can take part in superhero training games and have their photos taken with the character during the two-hour session. To attend, families must book a spot in advance by calling the diner directly at 01702 616831.
This character dining experience is part of a series of holiday activities promoted by Visit Southend to encourage residents to visit local businesses during the school break. The Easter holiday for local schools runs from March 30, 2026, through to April 10, 2026.
The 1950s-themed venue will also host a second themed morning the following week. A Breakfast With K-Pop Demon Hunters event is currently set for Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
