London Southend Airport in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, has launched a Price Match Guarantee for its on‑site parking in February 2026 to compete with nearby private car parks. The move aims to offer travellers the same rates as nearby off‑site operators while keeping vehicles on airport grounds.

On its official parking page, London Southend Airport says it will match or refund the difference if customers find comparable off‑site parking cheaper than the airport’s Long Stay product. The airport’s site indicates customers will need to provide evidence of a lower competitor quote to claim the refund for official Long Stay or Meet & Greet parking products.

The airport is majority‑owned by the Carlyle Group (via Carlyle Global Infrastructure / Carlyle Airport Group), which took an 82.5% stake in the airport in 2024. The pricing change follows a busy 2025 — when passenger numbers rose after easyJet expanded operations and reopened a base at Southend — putting parking into focus as ancillary revenue for the airport.
