Residents in Stockport, Greater Manchester, can enjoy free hot drinks and board games at a weekly social session held at the Stockroom cultural hub on Monday, February 23, 2026. The event, known as Board games and brews, provides a space for adults and families to meet their neighbours and try out different games at no cost.

The session is held at 10:00 am in Studio 1, which is located upstairs at the Stockroom facility. Visitors can drop in without a booking to play games while the staff provide free tea, coffee, and biscuits.

Managed by Stockport Council and Stockport Library Services, the hub is housed in repurposed retail units within the Merseyway Shopping Centre. The £14.5 million venue opened in May 2025 as part of a wider project to bring more community services into the town centre.

This weekly winter meet-up is part of a broader effort by Stockport Council to offer accessible social spaces. The sessions are designed to help reduce isolation by giving people a regular place to gather and talk in a relaxed environment.
