The Royal Nawaab Pyramid restaurant donated £28,000 to the Stockport NHS Charity on 17 March 2026 to help buy a new portable incubator for newborns at Stepping Hill Hospital in Greater Manchester.

Mahboob Hussain, the owner of the restaurant, presented the money to Helen Large, who leads the hospital team that cares for premature and sick babies. The funds will be used to purchase a Drager Babyleo TN500, which is a specialised piece of equipment that works as both an incubator and a medical heater to keep babies safe while they are being moved or treated.

This contribution means the charity has now raised more than £29,780 toward its final goal of £47,500. Because the new equipment is smaller than a standard incubator, it is easier for staff to move patients who need extra medical support between different parts of the hospital.
