The Royal Nawaab Pyramid restaurant in Stockport has raised £28,000 for the Stockport NHS Charity to help purchase a new neonatal incubator for Stepping Hill Hospital. The funds were collected during a gala event late last year that featured live entertainment, a raffle, and an auction.

On 17 March 2026, restaurant owner Mahboob Hussain presented the donation to Neonatal Matron Helen Large. The money is intended for a Drager Babyleo TN500, which is a modern transport incubator designed for premature and poorly babies. Unlike standard equipment, this compact model is specifically built to be moved easily while providing a quiet, stable environment that supports skin-to-skin care between parents and their infants.

This contribution brings the charity appeal past the halfway point toward its £47,500 target. With substantial funds already secured, the charity is now calling on the community to help raise the remaining balance to complete the purchase of this life-saving equipment.

Since opening in 2025, the Royal Nawaab Pyramid has become a significant fixture in the area, welcoming 192,000 diners within its first eight months. The restaurant’s recent fundraising effort marks a major milestone for the hospital’s neonatal unit and its ongoing work to improve care for local families.
