Supporters of Stockport Town FC in Greater Manchester are being invited to help choose the team’s best goal of the season as the club prepares to wrap up its 2025/26 campaign. The club has launched an online vote for the Goal of the Season, allowing fans to select their favourite strike from the current year.

Stockport Town FC, which plays its home matches at Stockport Sports Village in Woodley, is currently sitting in 12th place in the ninth tier of English football. Under the leadership of player-manager Paul Turnbull, the team has secured 20 wins in its 46 league matches so far this season. Forward George Kattah has been the standout performer in front of goal, leading the team’s scoring charts with 28 goals across 51 appearances.

The voting initiative is part of a series of end-of-season events for the club. Supporters are also invited to attend an Awards Night held at the Best Western Pinewood Hotel on Saturday 9 May 2026. The event, which begins at 7pm, will feature a disc jockey and food to celebrate the team’s efforts throughout the season.

Since its founding in 2014, the club has built a loyal following in the local community, with regular attendances growing to the mid-200s and a record crowd of 1,240 spectators recorded against Bury AFC. Fans interested in participating in the vote can find the details on the club website.
