Couples planning their special day in Stockport can attend the town’s largest wedding fayre this autumn, as Stockport Events brings its popular event back to the historic town hall. The free-to-attend gathering will take place on Sunday 18 October 2026, from 11am to 3pm.
Held in the grand ballroom of the building—often nicknamed The Wedding Cake for its distinctive white stone façade—the event connects soon-to-be-wed couples with a wide variety of local suppliers. Attendees can browse services ranging from venues, photographers, and florists to cake makers, videographers, and entertainment providers.
As part of the day, a bridalwear catwalk show is set to take place at 1pm. Additionally, couples who register their details during the event will receive complimentary goody bags.
The wedding fayre is organised by Stockport Events, which manages various venues across the borough on behalf of Stockport Council. The event, which is being promoted by Totally Stockport, has been a regular fixture for local couples since 2018.
