The Sunderland Training & Education Farm is moving its upcoming Pony Club session to a daytime slot on the Bank Holiday Monday, 4 May 2026. Instead of the usual evening session, children can attend the farm between 11am and 2pm.

This special holiday session is open to participants aged 7 to 16, and new members are welcome to join. The cost for the three-hour session is £7 per child, and the farm notes that payment must be made in cash on the day.

The community farm, located at Page Pastures Farm on Keelmans Lane, operates as a non-profit social enterprise. Founded in 2003 by Jeanette Chapman, it serves roughly 8,000 visitors each year across its 40-acre site.

In addition to the bank holiday update, the farm has confirmed that its regular Pony Club session on Saturday 23 May 2026 will be cancelled. This change is due to the anticipated crowds for Radio 1’s Big Weekend, which is taking place at the nearby Herrington Country Park from 22 May to 24 May 2026.
