Residents in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, are being advised to prepare for a change in weather as a period of warm sunshine makes way for cooler and more unsettled conditions starting Monday, 23 March 2026.
According to the Met Office, the area will experience mild weather from 19 March through to Sunday, 22 March 2026. During this stretch, daily high temperatures are forecast to reach up to 16°C, providing a warm and sunny end to the week for the community.
The conditions are expected to shift on Monday, 23 March 2026, as cloud cover increases and daytime temperatures fall to around 11°C or 12°C. The likelihood of rain will also rise significantly, with a 40 per cent chance of precipitation predicted for Tuesday, 24 March 2026.
Wind speeds will pick up early in the week, with gusts forecast to reach 32mph by Wednesday, 25 March 2026. These unsettled conditions could affect local travel on roads such as the A511 and A444, as well as outdoor activities, as the town transitions into a more typical spring weather pattern.
