Residents in Swindon can enjoy a series of open-air film screenings at Lydiard Park during the upcoming Late May Bank Holiday weekend. From 29 May to 31 May 2026, the historic grounds will host an outdoor cinema experience organised by Adventure Cinema.

The events will take place on the Main Lawn, providing attendees with a view of the Grade I listed Lydiard House. The programme features a variety of entertainment, starting on 29 May at 6pm with The Greatest Showman Sing-a-Long. On 30 May, families can attend a screening of Sing at 12pm, followed by Mamma Mia! ExtrABBAganza at 6pm. The final day, 31 May, includes The Gruffalo and Stick Man at 10am, Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration at 1.30pm, and the film Pretty Woman at 6.30pm.

According to Swindon Borough Council, which manages the 260-acre park, tickets for these events start from £9.80. Organisers recommend that members of the public book their tickets in advance to ensure entry.

Adventure Cinema was established in 2019 by brothers Ben Lovell and Mark Thompson. The company has grown to become the largest outdoor cinema operator in the country and is currently conducting a tour that includes over 300 screenings at 57 venues across the UK.
