On 27 February 2026, Wiltshire Police arrested two people following a disturbance on Kingswood Avenue in Swindon, Wiltshire. Paramedics were at a home just after midday to help a patient when the situation turned violent, leading to an emergency call for police backup.

Officers arrived at the scene and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of attacking an emergency worker and making threats to kill police officers. A woman in her 20s was also arrested for attacking an emergency worker and was taken to hospital for a check-up before being moved to the police station.

Inspector Jamie Brown from Wiltshire Police said that violence against those who help the community is totally unacceptable. He confirmed that the force will not tolerate attacks on staff from the South Western Ambulance Service or any other emergency workers.

People living in the Park South area may notice more police officers on patrol over the coming days to provide reassurance to the local community. This part of the town, which includes Kingswood Avenue, previously saw 113 crimes reported within a half-mile radius in November 2025.
