Telford is set to bask in sunshine as temperatures climb to 29°C on Thursday, kicking off a run of warm and dry days before the weather turns cooler and wetter from Sunday.

Thursday 28 May will be the warmest day of the week with clear skies and a feels-like temperature of 26°C. The chance of rain remains very low. The warm and sunny conditions continue into Friday with a high of 22°C, and Saturday 30 May stays dry and bright at 23°C, feeling like 21°C.

High UV levels are forecast from Thursday through Sunday. The Met Office advises seeking shade during midday hours, covering up with suitable clothing and applying sunscreen when outdoors. Pollen levels will be high on Thursday and Saturday, and moderate on Friday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, meaning hay fever sufferers should be prepared.

Sunday marks the start of a change, with temperatures dropping to around 19°C and a 30% chance of rain by 8am. Sunny intervals will break through the cloud at times. From Monday onwards, the outlook turns more unsettled, with light rain and showers expected through to Wednesday, and daytime highs sitting between 18°C and 19°C.
