Telford Theatre has added two new family-friendly shows to its summer programme, which will be held at The Amphitheatre in Telford Town Park. Both performances offer residents outdoor entertainment options during the summer months.

The first event, Out Of The Box, will take place on Saturday 25 July 2026 at 2pm. The show is performed by juggling clown Darryl J Carrington, who trained at the Circomedia School of Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre and brings over 20 years of circus experience to his act. The performance features physical comedy and juggling, and has previously earned recognition as the Best Family Show at the Brighton Fringe.

Following this, the Comedy Club 4 Kids will visit on Sunday 2 August 2026 at 2pm. This nationwide organisation, which has been operating since 2005, provides stand-up and sketch comedy specifically designed for family audiences.

Both shows are one-hour long with no interval, and doors for each event open at 1:15pm. Tickets for both performances are priced at £10 for adults, £8 for children, and £30 for a family of four, provided the group includes at least two children. The events will proceed in both rain or shine, and Telford & Wrekin Council has noted that specific weather-related contingency plans are in place for the outdoor venue.

The use of The Amphitheatre for these productions supports the council’s ongoing cultural strategy to restore the 400-seat outdoor venue. Further information and ticket bookings are available through the theatre’s website.
