Devon and Cornwall Police are asking for the public’s help after a 27-year-old man was found with severe facial injuries and muddy footprints on his clothes in Torquay, Devon. The incident happened in the early hours of January 31, 2026, and the man has no memory of how he was hurt.

According to Devon and Cornwall Police, the man was last seen uninjured on camera at 2:16 am leaving the Apple & Parrot pub. A minute later, he was spotted running up an alleyway that leads toward Parkhill Road.

At approximately 3:15 am, the man arrived at the Park Lane nightclub on Torwood Street to ask staff for help. He was suffering from multiple facial fractures, heavy swelling on the left side of his head, and bleeding behind his eye.

The man is described as white, bald, and about five-foot-ten-inches tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt and a black jacket when the incident occurred.

Investigators are also asking for any dashcam or doorbell footage from the area that may have captured the man. This information is needed to help officers understand how he became injured and why there were footprints on his clothing.
