Torquay United manager Paul Wotton held a press call on 26 February 2026 to discuss an upcoming home game against Chelmsford City in Torquay, Devon. The manager spoke about the challenges the team faces as they prepare for the match on Saturday, 28 February 2026, at Plainmoor.
The team is currently dealing with an injury crisis that has left the squad feeling thin, following a 3-1 loss to Worthing earlier in the week. Wotton described the group of players as threadbare after losing key members like Jordan Dyer and Callum Dolan to recent injuries.
The club has had a difficult run lately, picking up only one point from their last four games. During the press call, Wotton admitted that the situation is not all sunshine and rainbows but remained focused on the promotion race as part of the March 4 Promotion campaign.
To support the players, the club has opened the Wollens Terrace to home fans for the rest of the 2025-2026 season to help create a sea of yellow in the stadium. Supporters are also looking forward to a visit from footballing legend Neville Southall, who is set to attend a club event on 6 March 2026.
