The Met Office has warned residents in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, that temperatures could drop below the seasonal average toward the end of March 2026. While the start of the month is staying mild, a shift in weather patterns is likely to bring colder conditions and an increased chance of wintry hazards later on.
Currently, the local forecast shows daytime highs between 14°C and 17°C leading up to 11 March 2026. These cloudy and mild conditions follow a very wet and dull February, keeping temperatures slightly above the usual average for this time of year.
The first two weeks of the month are expected to remain unsettled across the region, with frequent rain and strong winds. However, as the month progresses, weather experts predict that patterns will become slower-moving, which often leads to a noticeable change in temperature.
From 19 March to 2 April 2026, there is an increasing chance that temperatures will fall below the seasonal average. Forecasters say that while there is no sign of really cold weather or extreme conditions yet, people should be prepared for the return of winter-like hazards as the month concludes.
