Elmbridge Borough Council announced a new programme of free activities for children on 12 March 2026 to help families during the upcoming Easter school holidays in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. The initiative provides local families with low-cost ways to keep children entertained and learning while they are away from the classroom.
The holiday programme includes outdoor sessions called Shout! Stay and Play which will take place in local recreation grounds. Families can also take part in Museum Explorer events hosted by the Elmbridge Museum at libraries in Walton and Weybridge. These sessions will focus on topics such as local sports history and bridge building using science and maths skills.
While some of the activities are open for residents to just drop in on the day, others require a space to be booked in advance. The council is encouraging parents and carers to check the official website for the full list of times and locations to ensure they do not miss out. These activities are part of the council’s ongoing effort to support active lifestyles and community wellbeing for people living in the borough.
