The Walton-on-Thames Library in Surrey has been integrated into the Surrey Libraries 2026 programme, part of a county-wide plan to transform libraries into modern community hubs. Residents can take part in a series of events tied to National Storytelling Week. Surrey’s modernisation strategy aims to broaden library services into one-stop community hubs. As part of the 2026 programme, the county rolled out specialist health services — including short-term loans of blood pressure monitors during Health Information Week (19–25 January 2026) — alongside other community offers.
