Elmbridge Borough Council has announced a one-day exhibition called Silent No More will take place on 1 April 2026 in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. The event aims to share the voices and experiences of local women who have survived domestic abuse and gender-based violence.

The exhibition will be held at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre and is free for the public to attend. Visitors can see photography, personal stories, textiles, and a collaborative mural created by women during supportive workshops.

These workshops were led by a group called the Women’s Hub at Voices of Hope. The projects helped the women explore their recovery and build back their confidence through art and craftwork.

Sarah Clay, the CEO and founder, described the event as a powerful and inspiring evening. She said the exhibition focuses on the stories of survivors to help them feel heard through the power of storytelling.

Councillor Kirsty Hewens, Portfolio Holder for Enterprise, Parking and Local Economy, from the council said the event shows their commitment to making sure support is available for those who need it. She added that the exhibition highlights how local women are staying strong and why the community must work together to respond to abuse.
