Families with young children in Watford are invited to participate in a new series of free monthly sessions that combine dance, play, and history. The programme, titled Mini Museum Movers, will launch on 7 May 2026.
The sessions are a partnership between the Museum of Watford and BEEE Creative, an arts charity that has worked to improve access to dance since 2017. While the museum is currently closed to the public during its relocation to Watford Town Hall, these sessions are part of a wider outreach effort supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The programme is designed for confident walkers up to the age of five, and younger siblings are welcome to attend. Sessions will take place on the first Thursday of every month at two locations. Two morning slots are available at the Watford Palace Theatre from 10:00 to 11:00 and 11:15 to 12:15. An afternoon session will also be held at the West Watford Community Centre from 13:30 to 14:30.
These activities operate on a drop-in basis, with spaces being allocated 15 minutes before each session begins.
