Police are asking for help from the community after three people damaged the front door of a home on Hillingdon Road in Watford, Hertfordshire. The incident occurred in the Kingswood Estate between 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
According to an appeal from Hertfordshire Constabulary, three individuals walked up to the house and threw items at the front door. The actions of the group caused visible damage to the property before they left the scene.
Police Community Support Officer David Gunn from the Watford North Safer Neighbourhood Team is leading the search for information and is asking residents to check their doorbell cameras. Officers are specifically looking for witnesses who may have video footage that captured the group in the area that night.
This incident follows a separate burglary on nearby Mead Way in Bushey, which happened at around 3:15 AM on Friday, February 20, 2026. In that instance, a house was broken into through a rear door during the early hours of the morning.
Anyone who has information that could help the investigation is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting crime reference number 41/16845/26. Reports can also be made anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers.
