Watford businesses are being invited to pull up a picnic blanket and make new connections at an outdoor networking event this August. The Watford and West Herts Chamber of Commerce has added a Picnic in the Park to its summer calendar, giving local firms a relaxed way to meet under the open sky on 28 August 2026, from 10am to midday.

Part of the Chamber’s Metro Network series, the gathering keeps up a tradition of moving around new and varied locations rather than settling into a regular meeting room. Rather than name badges and conference tables, the morning is built around the simple idea that conversations flow easier when you’re sitting on the grass. Rotating outdoor spots have become the Metro Network’s signature approach, with 2026 billed as a year of fresh venues in and around the town.

The Chamber typically runs around ten events a month, drawing between 40 and 50 people each time, and the picnic slots into a calendar that already includes formats like Chamber Connective and Communities Connect. Among its wider partnerships are names such as Metro Bank and Jaguar Land Rover North West London, while the networking series itself continues to grow as a key part of business life in Watford.

With registration open now on the Chamber’s website, local firms can RSVP well ahead of the August date. More details are available through the Watford Chamber event page.
