Families in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, can take part in a nature‑based holiday experience this year as Hideaway Wood Farm hosts an Easter Alpaca Trek and Woodland Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, 2026 (Easter Saturday). The 75‑minute sessions allow participants to lead alpacas through the woods and enjoy the outdoors during the Easter break.

Visitors will be able to lead alpacas through the farm’s newly planted woodland before taking part in a guided egg hunt. The event includes a chance to toast marshmallows over a communal fire pit on the 28‑acre site, which the farm says has planted thousands of trees (the farm’s materials state around 8,000 trees have been planted).

Hideaway Wood Farm first opened to the public in July 2022 after being transformed from a private smallholding into a nature‑focused glamping and alpaca‑experience retreat, co‑founded by Ian and Amy Saunders, according to the Northampton Chronicle. It now attracts families from the Wellingborough, Daventry and Northampton areas looking for outdoor activities away from busy town centres.

Organisers advise visitors to bring Wellington boots (wellies), as activities take place on a working farm and can be muddy regardless of the weather. As reported by the Daventry Express, these seasonal alpaca walks and Easter events have become a regular fixture for the farm following successful runs in previous years.
