The Wellingborough Town Neighbourhood Policing Team will hold a series of public meetings in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, from February 25 to February 28, 2026. These community sessions are designed to give residents the chance to speak directly with officers about local crime and share their concerns about safety in their neighbourhoods.

Officers will be available at several different locations over the four-day period, including local libraries and leisure centres. On February 26, 2026, the team will visit The Cosy Coffee Lounge to meet with members of the public and offer practical advice on how to prevent burglaries.

The events follow previous reports showing that anti-social behaviour in the town centre dropped by 15 per cent after a period of targeted police patrols. Officers from Northamptonshire Police want to use these meetings to ensure they are focusing on issues that matter most to local people, such as drug dealing and road safety.

These sessions also help meet new national goals to make police more visible in the community, which were set out in a government Policing White Paper published on January 26, 2026. The Wellingborough Town Council previously helped run a survey that closed on January 5, 2026, to help the team decide which areas to focus on for the rest of the year.
