Police are asking for help from the public after a motorcycle was stolen from Ley Walk in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The theft happened during a short window between 11:15pm on Saturday 21 March 2026 and midnight on Sunday 22 March 2026.

According to an alert on Herts Connected, PCSO Joanne Woods from Welwyn Hatfield South Neighbourhood Policing Team is leading the appeal. Residents who were in the area at the time are encouraged to check their CCTV or dashcam footage and report any information using the crime reference number 41/26416/26.

This latest theft comes after nine other motorbikes and mopeds were reported stolen across the district since February 2026. Hertfordshire Constabulary has already named vehicle theft and anti-social behaviour as its main focus areas for the community this year.

National figures from Bennetts show that 1,462 motorcycles were stolen across the UK in February 2026. To stay safe, the police recommend that owners use security tools like ground anchors, Datatag security marking, and high-quality covers to make their bikes less visible to thieves.
