Several bus routes will be diverted in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, on Sunday 29 March 2026 to allow for the city’s annual 10k running event. The race is set to take place in the morning, meaning many roads will be closed to regular traffic to keep runners safe.

The Wolverhampton 10k is organised by RunThrough Events and will start and finish at Molineux Stadium, the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. Multiple road closures will be in place across the city centre while the event is moving through the streets.

According to National Express West Midlands, bus passengers should expect service diversions between 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Some stops may not be served during this time, and buses will be moved onto different roads until the event finishes.

The City of Wolverhampton Council has authorised these temporary road closures for the duration of the race. Local residents and visitors are advised to check their specific bus routes before they travel to avoid any unexpected delays to their journey.

Transport for West Midlands will provide live updates on any disruptions to the network throughout the morning. Normal service is expected to resume across the city shortly after 11:00 am once the roads have been cleared and reopened to all vehicles.
