Job seekers in York have until the end of April 2026 to apply for several apprenticeship roles currently being offered through York College. These positions allow residents to earn a wage while working towards qualifications, with the college providing the training and support throughout the programmes.

The available opportunities include a Business Administration Apprentice position at Fera Science Ltd in Sand Hutton, which has an application deadline of 22 April 2026. This role offers an annual salary of £25,000 and requires a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.

Additional vacancies in the hospitality sector are open until 30 April 2026. These include a Kitchen Apprentice role at Yorkshire Heart Ltd in Nun Monkton and two Apprentice Chef positions at Jigsaws Childcare Ltd in Church Fenton. Wages for these hospitality roles range from £15,392 up to £24,454 depending on the position.

All apprentices will work with their respective employers while attending the college on a day-release basis during term time. These roles are becoming more accessible as the national apprentice minimum wage increased to £8.00 per hour for those under 19 or in their first year of training as of 1 April 2026.

Interested candidates can contact the college apprenticeship team for more information or to submit an application.
