York City FC has extended the deadline for fans to purchase early bird season tickets for the 2026/27 campaign until midnight on Monday 4 May 2026. The club, based in York, North Yorkshire, is offering the discounted rates as fans prepare for the team’s return to professional league football.

The extension follows a historic season for the club, which saw the team secure the National League title and promotion to EFL League Two on 25 April 2026. The promotion ended a 10-year absence from the Football League, confirmed by a dramatic 103rd-minute equaliser from Josh Stones against Rochdale. This result capped a record-breaking campaign in which the team accumulated 108 points, the highest total in the history of the division.

The club has already sold over 4,500 season tickets for the upcoming season, marking a new record and surpassing the 3,600 sold for the 2025-26 season. During that previous campaign, the team saw average attendances of nearly 6,500 at the LNER Community Stadium, which was the highest average attendance in the club’s history.

Current early bird pricing for adult season tickets is £400, while concessions are available for £300. Tickets for students and those aged 12-16 are £150, and under 11s can purchase tickets for £50. Carers are admitted for free. These prices will increase after the 4 May deadline, with adult tickets rising to £450, concessions to £350, 12-16s and students to £200, and under 11s to £100.

Following the successful promotion, the club hosted a celebration at their stadium on 29 April 2026. The event included a trophy lift and fireworks after a proposal for a city centre bus parade was declined by the City of York Council and North Yorkshire Police.
