York Restaurant Week is returning to the city centre in York, North Yorkshire, for 14 days from March 9, 2026, to March 22, 2026. This year the event has been expanded to a full two-week format to give residents more time to enjoy cheaper meals and help local businesses after a quiet winter.
More than 100 venues are taking part in the initiative, which is organised by the York BID. Diners can choose from set menus priced at £5, £10, £15, £20, £25, or £30, including new participants like Love Cheese and 200 Degrees Coffee.
To access these offers, people must download vouchers from the York Restaurant Week website to show at participating businesses. Vouchers will be available to download from February 23. The event aims to support the local hospitality industry as it faces a 41 per cent rise in business rateable values, a change the organisers have called a “disastrous blow” for local venues.
The York BID is running the event after receiving a new five-year mandate from city businesses in late 2025. By doubling the length of the promotion, they hope to increase the number of people visiting the city centre during a traditionally slow time of year.
